Role Overview

The Full Stack Developer will build, maintain, and optimize reliable, user-friendly web applications across the full stack, with a strong emphasis on backend development. The role involves collaborating closely with designers and product teams, transforming ideas into high-quality features, and leveraging modern tools, including AI, to enhance efficiency, performance, and developer workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development (Primary Focus)

• Build, maintain, and enhance backend services using PHP and Laravel.

• Design and optimize MySQL/MariaDB databases, including writing efficient SQL queries.

• Develop backend features following MVC best practices and RESTful patterns.

• Work in Linux environments, handling server commands, shell scripts, cron jobs, and deployment processes.

Frontend Development (Occasional)

• Build responsive UIs using JavaScript, Svelte, React, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.

• Convert Figma designs into functional user interfaces.

• Maintain legacy components and enhance front-end interactivity as needed.

Code Quality & Collaboration

• Write clean, well-documented code across the full stack, and participate in code reviews.

• Participate in code reviews using Git/GitHub and follow best practices for version control.

• Debug and troubleshoot issues across frontend and backend layers.

• Monitor and improve code performance to ensure fast, smooth user experiences.

• Use AI tools like Cursor AI to accelerate development and improve workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack or web development.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, MVC architecture, and Git/GitHub version control.

• Experience building responsive UI components from design files (Figma).

• Strong awareness of performance optimization and scalable architecture.

• Linux server experience (cron jobs, shell scripts, deployments)

Skills

• Strong backend skills, proficiency using PHP and Laravel

• Database expertise (MySQL or MariaDB).

• Front-end basics: JavaScript, React, Svelte, jQuery, HTML/CSS.

• REST API development and MVC architecture knowledge.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage features end-to-end.

• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

• Passion for continuous learning, improving processes, and sharing knowledge.

• Nice to have: CI/CD experience, automated testing, AWS (EC2, RDS, S3), and a strong eye for UI/UX principles.
