Role Overview
The Shopify E-Commerce Web Developer will own the Shopify storefront, ensuring it is optimized for functionality, performance, and user experience. The role requires expertise in Shopify Liquid development, front-end execution, and conversion rate optimization (CRO). The developer will translate design mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive pages that enhance engagement and drive conversion across all devices. The Shopify E-Commerce Web Developer will be working across 2 Shopify Stores that share the same source code.
Key Responsibilities
Shopify Liquid Development & Customization
Own the Shopify storefront end-to-end.
Build and maintain custom Shopify themes, templates, sections, and components.
Implement design mockups or wireframes from tools like Figma, ensuring pixel-perfect, fully responsive execution.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Apply CRO best practices, including A/B testing, multivariate testing, and funnel optimization.
Analyze user behavior, heatmaps, and analytics to inform data-driven improvements.
UX/UI Enhancements & Site Functionality
Optimize for performance, UX, and conversions.
Recommend and implement UX improvements based on product paths, click patterns, and user flow.
Develop upsell strategies, bundling logic, and refine product pages to maximize user experience and average order value.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor site speed, responsiveness, and overall stability.
Conduct regular analysis of conversion funnels and recommend optimizations throughout the customer journey.
Collaboration & Project Management
Work closely with design and marketing teams to implement new features, landing pages, and creative campaigns.
Research top-performing e-commerce stores to propose proactive ideas and stay ahead of industry trends.
Qualifications
Experience
4+ years combined Shopify, front-end, and CRO experience.
Advanced proficiency in Shopify Liquid with a strong track record of custom theme development.
Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end web technologies.
Experience working with front-end analytics tools such as GA4.
Proven experience implementing CRO strategies, A/B testing, and user behavior analysis.
Experience analyzing heatmaps and optimizing conversion funnels.
Experience transforming design mockups into responsive, user-friendly Shopify pages.
UX / Performance: Page speed, product page optimization, upsells, smooth customer journey.
Experience building custom Shopify apps or working with Shopify Functions is preferred.
Familiarity with Shopify Online Store 2.0 architecture and metafields is a plus.
Previous experience with high-performing DTC fashion or lifestyle brands is preferred.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to write clean, organized, and efficient code.
Ability to meet deadlines and maintain high standards for code quality.
User-centric approach when developing front-end experiences.
Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with cross-functional teams.
Basic understanding of animations, micro-interactions, or advanced front-end frameworks is a plus.
