Role Overview
The SEO Strategist will develop and implement tailored SEO strategies for clients, focusing on driving measurable improvements in organic traffic and search rankings. This role is about 60-70% hands-on execution, 30-40% strategizing, and it requires a proactive, client-facing approach and the ability to manage all aspects of SEO, from strategy and technical audits to content optimization and reporting, while ensuring alignment with best practices and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy Development & Implementation
Create customized SEO strategies for clients in the pest control and home service industries to increase organic traffic and visibility.
Take a strategic, data-driven approach to SEO by analyzing performance and implementing optimization tactics.
Collaborate with content teams to ensure on-page SEO best practices, including proper use of meta tags, headers, and keywords.
Conduct site audits, identify technical SEO issues, and resolve them to improve performance, crawlability, and user experience.
Client Engagement & Reporting
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, offering SEO expertise, strategic recommendations, and clear communication.
Generate regular performance reports tracking rankings, website traffic, and other KPIs.
Create monthly reports using Agency Analytics or a similar tool.
Refine and adjust SEO strategies based on performance data to align with client goals and maximize results.
Strategic Oversight & Analysis
Perform competitor analysis to uncover market opportunities and insights.
Stay current with SEO trends, algorithm changes, and industry developments to maintain best practices and strategic relevance.
Qualifications
Experience
3+ years of proven experience developing and executing B2B SEO strategies.
Experience working with service industries such as pest control or home services is a plus.
Familiarity with SEO tools like Ahrefs, Google Suite, and BrightLocal.
Experience in local SEO is preferred.
Experience in local service sectors (pest control, home services) is a plus.
Skills
Strong expertise in SEO best practices, including technical SEO and strategic planning.
Excellent client-facing and communication skills for managing relationships and delivering clear insights.
Familiarity with SEO approaches tailored to the pest control industry (a plus).
Fluent English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
