Role Overview
The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for building, designing, and sending marketing emails using provided copy and assets, primarily through Mailchimp. This role focuses on transforming materials into functional, well-designed emails that align with campaign objectives, brand guidelines, and email best practices. Attention to detail, strong execution skills, and collaboration with the marketing team are critical for success.
Key Responsibilities
Email Creation & Design
Build and design marketing emails using Mailchimp or other email platforms based on provided copy and assets.
Ensure emails are visually appealing, responsive, and optimized for deliverability.
Work within existing email templates and branding guidelines.
Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure emails align with active campaigns.
Communicate clearly to understand campaign goals and translate them into effective email designs.
Testing & Optimization
Test emails across multiple devices and email clients to ensure compatibility.
Monitor email performance metrics such as open rates and click-through rates and suggest improvements.
Attention to Detail
Proofread all emails for accuracy, spelling, and grammar.
Verify links, images, and functionality prior to sending.
Qualifications
Experience
Previous experience working with email marketing platforms, with Mailchimp preferred.
Experience with additional platforms such as Constant Contact or Campaign Monitor is a plus.
Familiarity with email marketing best practices, including A/B testing, segmentation, and campaign optimization.
Skills
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Knowledge of HTML and CSS for email customization is a plus.
Experience with email automation and advanced email marketing strategies is a plus.
