Katapult works with PMF+ startups and businesses in the United States with a team-augmentation model. That means we either become or augment their current product engineering team.
About the Role
At Katapult, we embed world-class product teams inside fast-moving U.S. startups. We’re looking for a Full-Stack Designer to join one of our clients and help shape a high-impact, consumer-facing mobile app in the sustainability + rewards space.
This role is for someone who designs with emotion, motion, and clarity, and loves creating app experiences that feel alive.
You'll work inside Katapult’s high-craft, AI-first environment—fast, collaborative, and obsessed with great product energy.
What You’ll Do
Design beautiful, modern, expressive mobile app experiences.
Prototype interactions, animations, and micro-moments that make the app feel alive.
Craft high-polish UI using strong visual storytelling.
Build and maintain the client’s mobile design system.
Collaborate closely with founders, PMs, and AI-first engineers.
Explore creative directions and push the visual language forward.
Integrate AI-native ideas and flows into the product.
What You Bring
Strong mastery of Figma: Auto Layout, variants, tokens, prototyping, motion, clean structure, naming, reusable components.
Experience designing end-to-end mobile app experiences.
Ability to communicate ideas clearly and iterate fast.
Eye for detail: spacing, rhythm, typography, hierarchy, vibes.
Curiosity for AI tools (Cursor, Lovable, Jitter, etc.).
Startup energy: fast, fearless, collaborative.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with Notion, Webflow, ClickUp/Jira/Linear.
Interest in animation, motion design, or interaction craft.
Familiarity with design systems at scale.
